List:
The Millennial generation has accepted and supported for more diversity.
The Millennial generation has created the image that women are as equal as men.
The Millennial generation is more educated than previous generations.
The Millennial generation participates and does community service.
The Millennial generation is discussion oriented, and make their own set of morals.

Summary:
"Now It's Time for Generation Next" written by Anna Quindlen explains the reasons the Millennials show great potential to be remarkable human beings. She explains that Millennials are sometimes know for their negative and not positive. Quindlen also makes statements about how the Millennials are more more educated, confident, interesting, and less uptight. The author then goes into detail then giving examples of how these traits promise to make the Millennial Generation remarkable.

The article made a good point that the Millennials are often known for their negative side and not their positive side. They get remembered for school shootings rather than Habitat for Humanity projects they have participated in. A few individuals actions are what make the reputation for the generation which is not right. Quilden brings up the positive sides of the generation most of the time such as we are more educated, interesting, and confident than past generations. Overall I liked the article because it talked good about my generation and gave us some of the credit we deserve.

"The Net Generation"

List:
"The Baby Boom Generation was shaped by pivotal events such as the war in Vietnam, Woodstock, the moon landing, all of which are brought to you by the new glowing device in the living room"(Page 19). This means the Baby Boomers were shaped by the events they saw on T.V.
The Baby Boomers switched from the radio to the T.V. in their time. "In early 1953, when the set arrived in our living room, the chairs and sofa were moved from the radio and clustered around the T.V.(Page 19).
"The penetration of digital media has always been greatest among households with children and it isn't difficult to understand why". Baby Boomer's children have been the most exposed to digital media including the internet and other forms of technology. (Page 22)
"Another barometer of Net impact is the explosion e-mail, which began in earnest in 1994". The e-mail has allowed Baby Boomers to communicate with their children that are now in college. The e-mail is a low cost way of communication.(Page 23)
The internet has cut down on the amount of time the Baby Boomers view T.V.

Summary: "The Net Generation" by Don Tapscott was written to technology changes that have occured during the Baby Boomer's Generation. The author touches on the effects the technology has had on the Baby Boomer Generation as well as go through a brief timeline. Tapscott also explains the effects the internet has had on our T.V. viewing time.

The article showed me how the Baby Boomers Generation was sculpted and I understand that the innovation of the T.V. has had a major contribution. Most of the article to me seemed to be about the internet though. I agree with the people interviewed in the article, that the internet is much more interesting. I do spend more time on the internet than watching T.V. I also agree that e-mail is big factor of our daily lifes now. In the article I noticed the authors little predictions of what he suspects the technology will be like. Overall I enjoyed reading the article and looking at the graphs to see how techonology has increased over time.
